Last week was a super busy week for all the people involved in VMworld 2010 in San Francisco. Because I spent two hours driving to Moscone Center and back home, I didn’t write any blog after getting back totally exhausted. Now it’s time to get back to it.
I believe there are many blogs/news on VMworld in general. Let me get down to a much narrow part: VMware Sponsored open source vSphere Java API at VMworld 2010.
Thanks to the community, my presentation on vSphere API Best Practice went very well. It’s based on the top 10 best practices blog (part 1, part 2) I wrote early this year, with real world experiences shared with partner engagements. Two copies of my book were given away at the end of the presentation. Thanks to Pablo Roesch for getting the books!

The world’s largest conference in virtualization industry VMWorld is coming. It will take place in San Francisco August 30 to September 2, and in Copenhagen October 12 -14. There will be about 170 unique sessions in the US and 130 unique sessions in EMEA; this includes sessions from VMware employees, customers, sponsors, virtualization vendors and industry specialists.
VMworld 2010 calls for papers now. Presenting at VMworld is a great opportunity to share your experiences and ideas with other professionals in the world. To be selected, the content should be unique and based on real world experiences that could help many attendees.
The topics include:
- Public Cloud
- Private Cloud – Management
- Private Cloud – Business Continuity
- Private Cloud – Security
- Enterprise Applications
- Desktop Virtualization
- Technology & Architecture
- Virtualization 101 (US event only)
Everyone will have a chance to vote for the sessions.
This year we will have 2 rounds of Call for Papers Voting. The first will be through a Content Committee consisting of Customers and VMware Employees. The second will be open to the Public and will be accessible on VMworld.com. CFP submissions must be filled out completely in order to make it into Voting.
The Call for Papers will close on April 2nd. Be quick if you want to submit one. More details can be found at VMworld 2010 Call for Papers Guide.
The registration is not open yet, but you can pre-register and get notified once it’s open in 19 days.
